Meet Him

His name is Ben. He has a decent work with a decent salary. He is living independently. It's what he chose to do. He wants to prove how responsible he is although most of the times, he failed.

His life has been predictable over the years. But it's actually better now. Better because he is now able to control the decision he makes. It's different before.

He's been in a relationship for two years but because of his own paranoia, the girl left him. The girl was pretty. The girl was really attractive. Every man's dream. They're a good pair. They look good together. They are a package. They were crazy about each other. They have their own world indeed. Those things were also the same reason why he was not satisfied and happy later on. He's feeling inferior. That's the case he knew. He accepted it and moved on.

He has no regrets about what happened. He knew it was better for both of them to grow. He knew it was the right decision. In fact they were still friends but they don't see each other. LOVE? There is still a lot but he can hide it and he can just pretend there is none anymore.

Now he's searching. The thing is, he doesn't want people to know he is searching - as in desperately searching. He just go with the flow. He just let things happen according to its own will but he is really desperate. Nobody knows he is desperate, just himself.

Everyday he met a lot of different people. From work to the different environment he is into. But he doesn't have the gutts. He lacks confidence. He's afraid. For one reason that he hated most - COMPARISON.

Chapter 1 - The Sign

He woke up. He knew it was raining.

He doesn't need to look outside to be sure. He knew exactly when it would rain. He doesn't need weather bureau. He can feel it. He has his own forecast. He has his own way of telling himself of the weather. He always have a heavy heart whenever it's raining - because he knew something either bad or good will happen. He has proven it over the years. It rained when his beloved grandfather died. Three years ago, it was also raining when he found out that the girl he was falling for also have mutual feelings for him. There was a storm during his first kiss with his second girlfriend. There was a typhoon during the time that her girlfriend for two years kissed him for the first time. Of course, it was also raining when they first broke up - first of 3 break-ups they have had.

He loves seeing raindrops. He loves the rain during summer. He is sure something weird will happen today. He just have to wait.

He stared at the ceiling again - thinking of the things he needs to do for the rest of the day. A lot of reminders popped out of his mind. He stopped. He hate schedules. He hated plans. He lived his life one day at a time. That's who he is. He is BEN. He's a catalyst. He's a dreamer.

Prologue

They were kissing. They couldn't hear a single noise. Only the music in their ears. Only the sound of their lips.

It was dim. They couldn't see a thing. Only the sparkle in their eyes.

He couldn't breathe. He couldn't stop. He doesn't want to stop - at least for now.

There were thrusting. They were groping each other. They were both intimate.

It was everything. It was ecstasy.

He's near. She's near. They were about to ... ... then he woke up.

It was the best dream he had. It was an intimate affair. It was complete with all the ingredients he needed. But as I've said, it was only a dream. He knew it could never happen again. He just stared at the ceiling - savoring everything that happened in his dream.

One thing perplexed him - the vivid image of the girl.
